Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • To assign day to day work to Public Area Cleaners.
  • To co-ordinate with night shift staff regarding the cleanliness of public areas and communicate with him to follow up the daily cleaning orders.
  • To inspect and supervise the cleaning standard of all hotel public area in accordance with the standard set by the hotel.
  • To control the consumption of cleaning material.
  • To inspect all plants and flowers and organise if any changing is needed.
  • Issue verbal and written orders of work to be done to Engineering.
  • To attend to guest request and complaints.
  • To organize work assigned by superior, ensure the staff understands, performs their duties quickly and efficiently in order that the quality and service are met at all times.
  • To maintain by supervise the good order and service ability of store areas and equipment in use by Housekeeping staff.
  • To perform shift duty if required.
  • Responsible for report unusual happening on public areas to superiors.
  • Report any loss or damage of linen, furniture, fixture or equipment.
  • To spot any fire hazards, obstructions and implement the necessary corrective action and report to Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Ensure that all left behind items are forwarded to Housekeeping Office.
  • Keep all cleaning equipment and maintain it at good condition.
  • Train and supervise subordinates, especially for special projects.
  • To stand by in hotel in case of emergency, e.g. typhoon.
  • To co-ordinate with outside contractors such as pest control, window cleaning, landscaping etc.
  • Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

  • F.5 or above with a Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience, preferred with the Hotel industry working experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • Shift duty is required.
  • Mature, independent, self-motivated, well organized and detail-minded.
