Job Overview
- Responsible for organizing and supervising the daily cleaning activities of all guest rooms, public areas, uniform and linen room and back of the house areas in accordance with the standard set by the hotel.
- Manage the quality of guest service and staff’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervises, guides, disciplines and appraises subordinates in responsibility. Checks subordinates work frequently to make sure the best performance is maintained.
- Inspects guest rooms by permanent or casuals’ staff, especially VIP, long staying guests and S.A. rooms daily to ensure that they are in perfect condition.
- Conveys any information or decision made by management to the subordinates.
- Responsible for handling guest complaints and special cases and report the result to Director of Housekeeping or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
- Schedules and assigns work to the subordinates.
- Takes daily inspections in the area of responsibility.
- Be aware of hotel emergency and safety procedures and pest control.
- Conduct on the job training to supervisors, room attendants, public area attendants and office administrative.
- To organize work assigned by superior, ensure the staff understands, perform their duties quickly and efficiently in order that the quality and service are always met.
- Responsible for guest supplies and guest loan items control also bi-weekly guest supplies inventory stock check.
- Reports of any loss or damage of linen, furniture fixture or equipment.
- Keep all cleaning equipment and maintain it in good condition.
- To stand by in hotel in case of emergency, e.g., typhoon.
- Any other duties or projects as assigned by the superior(s).
Requirements
- F.5 or above with a Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory Hotel experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Shift duty is required.
- Mature, independent, self-motivated, well organized and detail minded.
- Proficiency in MS office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Able to work under pressure.
