Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming calls.
  • Direct call to guest rooms, or department through the switchboard.
  • Place outgoing long distance calls for internal customers and made proper records
  • Receives guest messages and deliver the same to the guests
  • Record all wake up call requests and performs wake-up call services.
  • Provides information about hotel services to guests.
  • Understand the telephone operator board or PABX switchboard operation.
  • Knows what action to take when an emergency call is required.
  • Assists in reporting telephone equipment or service complaints and problems.
  • Following hotel’s set telephone etiquette.
  • To be fully aware of and adhere of health and safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Must be polite and courteous while answering the phone.
  • Set up conference calls in different locations and time zones.
  • Assists to provide on the job training to her subordinates to improve the standard.
  • Update directory information on the front office software.
  • Provide a paging service for hotel guests and employees.
  • Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Responsibilities (Con't)

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma or above in Hospitality or related field.
  • At least 2-year solid hotel operator experience or in similar capacity.
  • Proven record of luxury hotel chain experience is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills and service oriented.
  • Able to work independently and on shift duty is required.
  • Flexibility to work overnight shifts is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
