Job Overview

Supervise and monitor the daily operation of the security department for respective properties.

Responsibilities

    1. In charge of the security department upon the absence of Head of Risk and Safety.
    2. Ensue a good relationship is maintained during complaints handling between departments.
    3. Always supervise and be constantly aware of the standard of performances and appearance of subordinates.
    4. To cope with the arrangements of company/hotel management’s assignments.
    5. Ensure that visitors and vehicles registration is always maintained.
    6. To perform instructions reasonably from the senior, ensure the shift hand-over and

    takeover runs smoothly and in an orderly manner.

    1. Ensure that all entries are made on the OB Book daily.
    2. Ensure all workers’ HKID/Company ID are identified and registered on record.
    3. Manage all goods which are required to convey away from the hotel premises are required Gate Pass before leaving the hotel premises.
    4. Ensure Parcel Check for Staff & Outside Contractor are carried out smoothly at Staff Entrance. When find some suspicious Hotel Properties, identify with GEM & concerned department head.
    5. Ensure the name, vehicle number and contact number of contractors/workers are given and recorded for further action when necessary.
    6. Ensure all fire exits, stairwells, corridors, and entrances are free from obstruction, water leakage, footprints and/or cigarette buds etc.
    7. Ensure that dozing on duty, reading newspapers/magazines, smoking, gambling, and listening to radio/MP3 are all always prohibited by security team members.
    8. Ensure all radio transceivers are working properly daily. If any radio transceiver(s) is found to be malfunctioning, he must notify his supervisor for emergency repair immediately.
    9. Execute orders/instructions given by the hotel management in satisfactory manner.
    10. Ensure CCTV screens are constantly keeping an eye on any irregularities, report immediately to the hotel management if necessary.

     

    1. Ensure that all casual staffs are registered, check-in/out are completed daily by e-Casual system.
    2. Create and maintain routine assignments.
    3. Ensure Staff Locker Check are conducted smoothly with Human Resource Department.
    4. Conduct Fire Evacuation Drill twice per year.
    5. Ensure Fire Equipment, Door Contact & Panic Alarms and First Aid Boxes are inspected by Security Officer per Month. CCTV System are inspected by Security Officer per week.
    6. Familiarize with Fire System and to use Fire Extinguisher & Fire hors Reel.
    7. Ensure Traffic Control are conducted smoothly.
    8. Ensure Key Control are followed procedure.
    9. Assume the responsibilities of a Shift In-charge according to operational demands.
    10. Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure the Security Posts which Security Officer are conducting smoothly and in an orderly.
    11. All team members are required to follow the 24-hour shift roster as assigned by the head of the Risk and Safety department.
    12. Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

  1. 3 years of security experience in hotel and/or commercial or residential property.
  2. 1-2 years of senior security officer experience.
  3. Form 5 graduate or equivalent.
  4. With Security License.
  5. Able to work shift duties including overnight shift.
  6. Proficiency in spoken English, Putonghua & Cantonese preferred.
  7. Good communication and presentation skills.
  8. Good interpersonal skills and ability to provide customer service.
  9. Mature, be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  10. Good command in computer and administrative work.
