The Role

This is a full-time on-site role for Resident Manager at Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West located in Hong Kong SAR. The incumbent is responsible for assisting General Manager in day-to-day operational efficiency of the hotel operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Risk and Safety, and special projects as assigned. Other duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • overseeing and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and policies by managing the day-to-day operation of the aforementioned departments effectively and efficiently, so as to maintain and enhance service quality and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • implementing departmental strategies and action plans in accordance with the hotel’s strategic sales and marketing plans and the yearly budget and delivering hotel budget goals and assisting General Manager in executing short and long-term strategic goals for the hotel.
  • developing and maintaining goodwill with hotel guests by improving quality of services and standards, satisfying guest requests, resolving complaints and pacifying guests as required.
  • reporting all irregularities, deficiencies and emergencies with feasible recommendation and solutions.
  • conducting regular hotel walkthrough and checking on the operation efficiency, service standards, cleanliness of all the areas and follow-up on defects promptly to ensure effective maintenance of all hotel facilities.
  • supporting operational team during peak hours.

Work Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Management or related discipline
  • With at least two years of hotel experiences in the capacity of Hotel Manager or Resident Manager, preferably in a large-scale of hotel operations or 5-star international hotels
  • Effective leadership with emotional intelligence and empathy, able to lead by example and follow the hotel's SOP and P&P
  • Highly developed organizational and communication skills, and with the ability to prioritize, delegate, schedule and manage time effectively
  • Attentive to details and able to provide clear directions and make quick and right decisions
  • Has a broad knowledge of industry practices, including market trends, new technologies, etc.
  • Possess a well-rounded set of soft skills and a professional manner and a calm, rational approach in hectic situations
  • Creative problem-solving skill
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
