Job Overview

To clean and maintain all the public area and back of the house area in hotel accordance with the instruction from superior and ensure is up to the pre-determined standard.

Responsibilities (Con't)


  1. To clean and tidy up all public area which includes the hotel lobby, restaurants, guest washrooms, guest lift, service lift, driveway & car-park, offices, staff changing rooms and back of the house area.
  2. To conduct cleaning or maintenance for all those areas included ceiling, wall, flooring, as well as furniture, fixture, equipment and facilities.
  3. To replenishment of guest supplies and amenities in public area.
  4. To handle and move the garbage or disposal items to assigned destination.
  5. To conduct daily tasks with appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner, ladder, wet/dry mop, high pressure machine, single disc machine, extraction machine etc.
  6. To conduct daily tasks with correct usage of general cleaning detergents and chemicals which provided by hotel and instructed by superior.
  7. To report any defects, loose fixtures, furniture and malfunctioning equipment to Housekeeping office or superior.
  8. To report and hand over all lost and found articles to Housekeeping office.
  9. To report any unusual happenings on assigned area.
  10. To conduct watering and trimming all plants in hotel public area if necessary.
  11. To remove furniture and equipment from one place to another as assigned by superior.
  12. To provide service and offer appropriate assistance to guest.
  13. To assist training of new cleaners.
  14. To perform special duties/shift as assigned by superior.
  15. Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

  1. Primary education, vocational training school preferably.
  2. Cleaning experience preferably.
  3. Basic knowledge of handling cleaning equipment and machines.
  4. Able to understand simple English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
  5. Physically fit, neat, tidy, and pleasant disposition, service oriented.
  6. Good working and learning attitude.
  7. Able to work under pressure.
