Assistant Risk & Safety Manager

Job Overview

Direct personnel involved in establishing, promoting, and maintaining hotel’s security and property-protection programs. Assistant Risk and Safety Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, organization, training, staff supervision and quality controls for the Risk and Safety Operation to effect optimum protection of hotel guests, staff, and assets, both tangible and intangible. Assistant Risk and Safety Manager  shall drive the Risk and Safety Operation to the high standards and quality.

Responsibilities

1. Establish and supervise through subordinates, operational procedures for activities such as fire prevention and firefighting, traffic control, guarding and patrolling physical property, orienting, and monitoring personnel involved with classified information, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts.
2. Mainly overseeing the security operation within the hotel premises.
3. Arrange appropriate workforce to assist GEM on daily operations to ensure it is running smoothly.
4. Ensure a good relationship is maintained during complaints handling between departments.
5. Always supervise and keep constantly aware of the standard of performances and appearance of subordinates.
6. Provide guideline and training to the subordinates to ensure they follow work order/instructions as and when necessary, on duty.
7. Ensure the tele-protection is maintained to report at a regular interval.
8. Responsible for the surveillance of all posts in the hotel premises and maintaining post assignment schedule and duty roster on a regular basis.
9. Keep constant supervision/surveillance on performance of subordinates and set a good example for subordinates to maintain a full extent of interest to the company and hotel management.
10. Maintain up to date records of all Risk and Safety employees qualified in First Aid and Fire Fighting Procedures.
11. Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure the Risk and Safety Shift In-charge are deploying Officers in critical areas.
12. Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

1. 4 years of security experience in hotel and/or commercial or residential property
2. 2 years of security supervisor experience
3. Form 5 graduate or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in criminology is preferred
4. Obtained security license
5. Possess excellent sense of emergency and self-discipline
6. High professional standard of integrity and confidentiality 
7. Proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese, English, and Putonghua
8. Good computer skills
9. Good communication and presentation skills
10. Good interpersonal skills and ability to provide customer service
11. Mature, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
