Job Overview

  • To keep clean and tidy in all the guestrooms or assigned area according to hotel standard.
  • Attentive and offer courteous services to guest all the times.

Responsibilities

  1. To report defects, unusual guest behavior, sickness and any damage found in guest room.
  2. To report and handover lost and found articles to Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping office.
  3. To count soiled linen and store clean linen in floor pantry.
  4. To maintain cleanliness in floor pantry and back of house areas.
  5. To maintain cleanliness of maid trolley and ensure that adequate supplies are maintained.
  6. To report suspicious loitering on guest corridors.
  7. To move furniture from one room to another or from one place to another as assigned by floor supervisor.
  8. To deliver what assigned by superior to guest rooms such as souvenir, welcome fruits & drinks, guest letter, etc.
  9. To render personal assistance to guest such as shoe polishing service etc.
  10. To remove all room service trolleys or trays from corridors and guest rooms.
  11. To attend to guest requests immediately.
  12. To deliver and collect guest laundry.
  13. To perform other duties as assigned.
  14. To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of guest corridors, lift landing, lift doors and ashtrays are up to standard.
  15. To tidy up the vacant rooms and make sure room facilities are in order.

Requirements

  1. Graduate in related discipline from VTC or Retraining Board
  2. At least one year relevant experience is preferred
  3. Knowledgeable in housekeeping operation and proper procedures.
  4. Ability to communicate in basic English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  5. Responsible and hardworking
  6. Able to work independently under minimum supervision
  7. Problem solver with sense of urgency
  8. Attentive to details
  9. Willing to work under pressure
