Job Overview
Report to NH Financial Controller, extensive exposure on financial management and responsible for Accounts Receivable process.
Responsibilities
Corporate Finance Duties
- Handle full set of accounts of NH office, month-end closing and prepare analysis reports
- Coordinate with operation teams to prepare budget and forecast at NH level
- Review financial statements of hotels and projects
- Assist in feasibility study and financial modelling for potential new projects
- Maintains NH Finance Department in efficiency and accuracy in Accounting Control, to keep track of expenditures and profits, budget allocation, audit control, financial planning, funding and all related financial activities. To monitor daily Accounts operation and revision of every fiscal year
- Responsible for Financial Planning and preparation of Monthly and Yearly budget for NH office
- Liaises with other departments for all accounting related matters to provide financial advice and valuable supporting services to user departments
- Prepares reports for the management review to highlight significant issues in relation to the hotel business
- Reviews hotel fixed asset and ensure proper internal control system to safeguard all assets of NH
- Deals with external and internal auditors to ensure all accounting matters are properly controlled
- Manages NH bank accounts and banking facilities with smooth operation
- Handles all banking executed documentary and communicate with Banker
- Manages the expenditure to achieve profit, and primarily working in forecasting departments overheads
- Establishes and implement departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures for improvements
- Participates in the surveys and complete the questionnaire issued by the government department
- Implements year-end audit, negotiation with Certified Auditor, to review the financing documents and inventories on NH companies comply with Hong Kong laws
- Develop/setup and update communication policies, procedures and guidelines
- Assumes responsibility for all control functions during the absence of NH Director of Finance
- Ensures the smooth day-to-day operation of the department including the resolution of the staff’s daily problems, questions, illness and vacations
- Supervises and assist with month-end closing of books and timely preparation of the required financial data
- Any other duties or projects as assigned by the superior(s).
Financial Planning and Analysis Duties
- Leading the financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis across the business
- Support the strategic planning and strategic initiatives of the company, including acquisitions and investment appraisal, by providing financial planning and modelling skills
- Adopting a partner / challenger role in evaluating business plans and financial projections rolling
- Financial reporting benchmark with HOTSTATs on peers’ comparisons
- Ensure integrity of financial data supplied by financial accounting team to other areas of the business and to external stakeholders
- Provide detailed analysis on Treasury management and cost efficiency on bank facilities and charges
- Provide and fully responsible to project cash flow forecast on project payment requirements for SOPO Ordinance, working closely with Treasury Department
- Any other duties or projects as assigned by the superior(s)
Requirements
- University graduate with HKICPA or equivalent professional qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in group reporting, preferably in hospitality environment
- Broad HKFRS knowledge and financial analysis experience
- Well versed in MS Office and experience in Sun Accounting System
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- High competence in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
- Independent, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, analytical, detail oriented and accurate in work
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to details
- Ability to handle multi-tasks and respond effectively to ad-hoc requests
- Positive and cheerful disposition, team spirit
