Job Overview

  • Responsible to handle the administration task for Director of Housekeeping and General documents of Housekeeping Department.
  • To act as communication link between Housekeeping and other departments.
  • To handle enquiries from internal and external customers promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities

  • To answer and record all incoming calls for service request, transmit to related personnel and refer these to concerned supervisor or superior which action must be taken at once.
  • To collect information from Front Office, e.g. VIP arrivals, layover, day use rooms etc. Pass information to floors concern immediately.
  • To answer guest requests and complaints in a polite helpful manner and refer these to appropriate person. Action should be taken immediately.
  • To keep control of issuing and collecting of all keys and report to superior if any key missing or damage.
  • To maintain and update all the correspondences and subject files in Housekeeping, e.g. key book, lost and found record, maintenance record, etc.
  • To record and control the loanable items from Housekeeping.
  • To control and handle all lost and found items.
  • To handle the administrative duties with typing all memo and necessary documents.
  • To perform shift duties and other duties as assigned by Superior.
  • To maintain effective communication between the Front Office and the Housekeeping Department regarding room status and special guest requests.
  • To prepare daily computer printouts and check for any special concerning about the Housekeeping Department.
  • To communicate within the Housekeeping Department and all other department.
  • To contact outside contractors for matter that require immediate attention, e.g. Pest control, window cleaning, etc.
  • To process all work orders to Engineering Department.
  • Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping.
  • Formal tertiary education or VTC graduate in housekeeping management.
  • Possess with all-rounded housekeeping experiences and exposures.
  • Good command of spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Familiarization with hotel products and facilities.
  • Cheerful and courteous with good telephone manner.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Energetic and self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
