Job Overview

Assist Director of Finance in overseeing daily operation of Finance of Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West, preparation for financial and management reports, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, internal control as well as taxation.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist Director of Finance in identifying financial risks and opportunities to optimize revenue and minimize costs.
  2. Prepare financial statements, forecast, budget and financial analysis for hotel management.
  3. Ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient operations in accordance with the hotel policies and compliance requirements.
  4. Ensure an up-to-date cash flow projection is maintained and maximize cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances.
  5. Conduct regular physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  6. Ensure the hotel meets all licensing requirements for its operations, including obtaining and renewing necessary licenses.
  7. Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies and licensing authorities to ensure timely submission of required documents and adherence to regulations and maintain all related records and documentation accurately.
  8. Assist Director of Finance in implementing policies and manuals according to the group’s policies and procedures while ensuring compliance to the same for consistency.
  9. Any other duties & projects assigned by the superior.

Requirements

  1. Holder of Degree in Finance Management or Business Administration with qualification as Certified Accountant.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in the same capacity as Financial Controller, preferably with a large scale of hotel operation.
  3. Experience in central bookkeeping and internal auditing in a large multinational company is essential.
  4. Understanding of local laws and business practices.
  5. Experience in the hospitality uniform system of accounts.
  6. Strong tech savvy and familiar with accounting system.
  7. Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
  8. Mature, independent, proactive, service-oriented, and attentive to detail.
  9. Analytical and strategic with a passion for service excellence and possess an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
  10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a team player who can work with various departments at different levels.
