Job Overview
- Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling all the departmental activities and ensuring to meet the service standard of the hotel.
- Monitor and control the departmental expenses, manpower allocation, administration, and employee matters.
Responsibilities
- To plan, organize, supervise, direct and control all the Housekeeping activities that including guest floors public area uniform & linen.
- To ensure the cleanliness, orderliness and proper maintenance of all the guest rooms, public areas, F&B outlets and back of the house.
- To prepare the yearly budget for Housekeeping, including CAPEX, Headcount & Payroll, Guest supplies. Cleaning supplies, Operational equipment, Uniform & Linen and Service Contracts etc.
- To control all the Housekeeping expenses according to occupancy and budget.
- To plan and direct all the training activities of Housekeeping Department.
- To maintain and extend the cooperation with other departments, ensure the highest level of efficient service throughout the hotel.
- To schedule all the preventive maintenance program / spring cleaning under Housekeeping Department.
- To evaluate the performance of all Housekeeping associate periodically.
- To conduct internal meeting with staff regularly.
- To liaise with outside contractor on contractor out service such as periodical exterior window cleaning, landscape maintenance, pest control, laundry service, over-night cleaning, etc. and ensure their performance are up to hotel standard with well controlling and evaluation.
- To carry out recognition and discipline action according to staff’s performance.
- To review and update all Housekeeping’s job description, SOP, chemicals application, machinery and guest supplies periodically as well as issue advice and suggestion to management if necessary.
- To inspect and signature to confirm all expired invaluable Lost and Found items before process the disposal procedure.
- To represent the Housekeeping Department at all meetings.
- To stand by in the Hotel in case of an emergency e.g. Typhoon, Power failure.
- To arrange appropriate measures and duties for Housekeeping staff during emergencies such as fires, power failures and bomb threats.
- To interact with guests and individuals outside the hotel including, but not limited to, current and potential clients, owning company representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community.
- Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements
- Formal tertiary education with a Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management.
- Minimum 10years’ supervisory experience in hotel industry with 5years supervisory level in Housekeeping.
- Strong leadership skills with effective communication with different departments.
- Hands on experience in all areas of Housekeeping operations and experience in Departmental training would be an advantage.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Detail-minded and possess high level of accuracy at work.
- Proficiency in MS office applications especially Word and Excel.
