Job Overview

The position is accountable for planning, organizing and overseeing the daily operation of the department, energy management, prepare & controlling the budget, dealing with contractors regarding quotations, contracts for repair & maintenance, A&A work, renovation works, handling license application and arrangements for all M & E and building repair works and etc.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for preparation and controlling of departmental budgets.
  • Manage a team of duty engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively. 
  • Oversee the inspection and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve any engineering-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare procurement requisitions and other engineering-related documents for daily operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to recommend innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Holder of Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker at Grade A.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the hotel / hospitality industry. 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team. 
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
