Job Overview
As a leader of Bar and Lounge operations, you will inspire service excellence, uphold brand‑aligned standards, and deliver consistently refined guest experiences. You will oversee daily operations, lead service teams, and contribute to revenue growth while maintaining the highest levels of quality, professionalism, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support pre‑opening planning, outlet setup, and operational readiness, including bar layout, equipment, inventory, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of SOPs, beverage offerings, and service standards through training, mock services, and rehearsals.
- Oversee and supervise daily bar and lounge operations to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
- Deliver exceptional, personalized guest experiences in alignment with established hotel and brand standards.
- Lead, coach, train, and motivate bar service teams to consistently achieve service excellence.
- Ensure beverage quality, presentation, and service consistency across all offerings.
- Conduct regular stock take, manage inventory, and maintain optimal par levels.
- Monitor sales performance, support upselling initiatives, and implement revenue‑enhancement strategies.
- Enforce hygiene, safety, and licensing standards in compliance with statutory and hotel requirements.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution and service recovery.
- Maintain impeccable grooming standards, ambiance, cleanliness, and overall outlet presentation.
- Assist management with staff scheduling, operational reporting, and forward planning.
- Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the superior(s).
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage Operations.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a luxury hotel bar and lounge environment.
- At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of beverage operations, mixology, and wine service standards.
- Proven ability to lead service teams and deliver exceptional guest service in accordance with established luxury service standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem‑solving, training, and team‑motivating capabilities.
- Solid understanding of inventory control, cost awareness, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent time management skills with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
