Job Overview
- To assist the Executive Housekeeper in directing and maintaining the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the service standard, policy and procedure set by the Hotel.
- Responsible for planning, controlling and coordinating of activities for all Housekeeping staff, ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance and orderliness are up to Hotel’s standard.
- Manage the quality of guest service and staff’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist the Director of Housekeeping in the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure services standards are followed.
- Supervises, guides, disciplines and appraises subordinates in responsibility. Checks subordinates work frequently to make sure the best performance is maintained.
- Inspect guest rooms by permanent or casuals’ staff, especially VIP, long staying guests and Special attention rooms daily to ensure that they are in perfect condition.
- Work closely with the Engineering department to address all guest room and public areas repairs and ensure proper communication channels are followed through.
- Conveys any information or decision made by management to the subordinates.
- Schedules and assigns work to the subordinates. Trains and supervises staff, especially for special projects.
- Takes daily inspections on guest floor, corridor, front of the house and back of the house in his or her area of responsibility.
- Be aware of hotel emergency and safety procedures and controlling of pest control with outside contractor.
- To organize work assigned by superior, ensure the permanent staff, casuals’ workers and outsource workers all understand, perform their duties quickly and efficiently in order that the quality and services are always met.
- Attend to any requests or complaints from guests, ensuring their satisfaction with housekeeping services. Resolve any housekeeping- related complaints in a timely manner and professional manner.
- Track and report on expenses related to housekeeping operations and supplies. Conduct monthly inventory stock check.
- To work closely with Supervisors and outsources Supervisor to ensure all assignments were running smoothly and take corrective action when necessary.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Implement and update departmental SOP.
- To stand by in hotel in case of emergency, e.g., typhoon.
- Any other duties or projects as assigned by the superior(s).

Requirements
- F.5 or above with a Diploma in Hotel Management.
- Minimum 8 years’ supervisory experience in hotel industry with 3 years supervisory level in Housekeeping.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
- Independent and confident to work under pressure.
- Strong problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training ability.
- Demonstrate ability to meet and exceed targets and KPI’s.
- Proficiency in MS office applications, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
