Job Overview

Assist with the Accounts Payable payment process and month-end closing, ensuring that all suppliers are settled within their payment terms.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies.
  • Oversee the review, coding, and entry of invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the preparation and processing of payments to vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and company guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, addressing discrepancies, payment inquiries, and resolving issues effectively.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts payable and vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate and present accounts payable journals and reports to superior.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations.
  • Provide training and support to team members in accounts payable processes and procedures.
  • Actively participate in payable process improvements and payable automation development.                         
  • Maintain and file all invoices, supporting documents and payment request form with all paid invoices stamped.
  • Familiarize with the hotel accounting system

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Finance and Accounting or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the hotel industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office application, Procurement System, and accounting system.
