Job Overview

Oversee the sourcing and procurement functions of the hotels and ensure sufficient and timely supply of goods, materials and services at the best pricing and quality which in turn maximize guest satisfaction and optimize our brand and hotel performance. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Devise and use procurement and sourcing strategies, initiate procurement partnerships and negotiate with external vendors/suppliers to secure advantageous terms and cost-effective deals 
  • Evaluate price and produce/service comparison and approve the procurement of necessary food/non-food items and service contracts
  • Examine and test existing products and contracts
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements through data analysis
  • Review and finalize procurement details of specifications and deliveries 

Responsibilities (Con't)

  • Obtain and negotiate product/service quotations from suppliers/vendors on price, ability to produce product or service and delivery date to achieve cost saving target with favourable terms and conditions. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients 
  • Ensure efficient and appropriate purchase in compliance with the group’s procurement policies and procedures 
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of suppliers from time to time, e.g. products, services and material are purchased at the best price, considering the quality and timeliness of deliveries 
  • Manage and build good relationship and network with vendors
  • Evaluate internal customer satisfaction
  • Monitor receiving record pertaining to items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance and inventory, and liaise with store regarding replenishment of stock items 
  • Make arrangement regarding direct import items, e.g. government formalities, delivery arrangement with local forwarder, liaise with receiving department 

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Hospitality Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related disciplines
  • Proven working experience as a group head of procurement and sourcing and experienced in the procurement of food and non-food items as well as service contracts 
  • Knowledgeable in sourcing and procurement techniques and data analysis
  • Experienced in working within a compliance or standards driven environment
  • Experienced in budget management and reporting
  • Proficiency in PC knowledge and language abilities, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate to get the best price with the best product quality from suppliers
  • Ability to manage the financial aspects of the role and understand budget management processes
  • Attentive to details, open-minded, innovative and able to initiate and adapt to changes
  • Highly motivated and self-directed with strong integrity
  • Strong leadership capabilities
