Job Overview

Responsible for Food and Beverage outlets of the Non-Hotel Food and Beverage projects in Central.

Responsibilities

  1. To ensure Food and Beverage service team are focused on the different component of operations and services to drive guest satisfaction.
  2. To oversee the operations of restaurant and catering activities on-site or off-site as well as staff catering in order to achieve pre-set service goals and standard.
  3. To maximize food and beverage revenue by providing direction on the optimum table utilization and capacity for accepting on-site or off-site catering events.
  4. To compile annual business plan, marketing plan, budget for the Food and Beverage Department.
  5. To general business, develop and maintain goodwill with bookers and guests.
  6. To review and approve the first set of Policies and Procedures (P&P) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of food and beverage service management and subsequent renewal.
  7. To liaise with Marketing & Communication for promotion or special project as assigned.
  8. To conduct regular market research from time to time to measure up the operation’s performance against the competition.
  9. To follow through and monitor all related issues in receiving, storage, food/drinks preparation and service. Ensure consistency with quality, and food handling is done in a respective manner.
  10. To handle manpower planning, recruitment, performance review, training plan and staff recognition.
  11. To manage and monitor department controllable expense of the Food and Beverage department so as to achieve or exceed the budgeted goal.
    To handle/supervise team members to handle guest complaints and suspected food poisoning incident. Take immediate guest service recovery and corrective action.
  12. Any other relevant projects and duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 8 years' food and beverage operations experience, preferably in hotel with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
  2. International chain experience with outlets in different cuisines and banquet operations preferably.
  3. Good leadership and management skills.
  4. People-oriented with problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent departmental coordination and organisation skills.
  6. Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
  7. Innovative, multi-tasking and possess a can-do attitude.
  8. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and deliver results in timely manner.
  9. Possess business sense to drive and cater to the business needs of the restaurant and catering events.
