Senior Systems Analyst / Systems Analyst (Data Architect)

Job Overview

The job holder is responsible for implementing Data Application projects, providing application support, managing vendors to build and maintain the Data Platform, and overseeing data application projects. He or she will collaborate with business teams, gather and organize statistical information, and generate supporting data to assist management in decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Understands data structures, including logical and physical data models, and metadata, and effectively moves data from source to target locations.
• Prepares documentation, such as RFPs (request-for-proposals) and business requirement specifications, for projects and initiatives of varying scales.
• Manages business users of different levels, understanding their pain points and proposing appropriate business solutions.
• Builds and maintains data integrations across various platforms within the company.
• Implements data analytics, data quality, and data governance solutions.
• Analyzes problems and requirements, designs and tests standards and solutions, and implements them effectively.
• Manages vendors on IT projects to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a IT related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data projects

Experience and skills:

• Experience in implementing data Integration and migration projects.
• Experience in managing vendors on projects of various scales.
• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data warehouse projects.
• Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, and other business intelligence (BI) tools.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and tools, such as Azure, AWS, or AliCloud.
• Previous exposure or experience in the property industry is advantageous. 
• Strong team player with the ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-motivated, quick learner with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the role of Systems Analyst.
