Job Overview

As the lead of Community and CSR team in Corporate Communications Department, the job holder is responsible for the planning and implementation of community service and stakeholder engagement strategy and programmes aligned with Chinachem Group’s three core company values of People, Prosperity and Planet.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement CSR strategies and initiatives for Chinachem Group
  • Lead a team to manage and oversee CSR sponsorships, projects and signature events end-to-end, from donation / sponsorship application, project planning, promotion, execution, event management to reporting
  • Build relationships and deepen engagement with Chinachem’s key stakeholders in the community, including government officials, district council members, charitable organisations, schools and other partners, for collaboration to create social impact
  • Work closely with ESG, CRM and CSR Project teams to manage sustainability and community service events, initiatives and programmes to engage and inspire the public live more sustainably
  • Collaborate with various business units to promote the Group’s CSR efforts to internal and external audience in the stakeholder universe
  • Willing to work outside office hours
  • Support other ad-hoc assignments when needed

Requirements

  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, Marketing or relevant qualification
  • 15 years’ solid experience in CSR, corporate communication, public affairs or other relevant disciplines and at least 5 years of team management experience
  • Excellent writing, spoken and presentation skills in both English and Chinese
  • Track record of mega or signature event management and stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge and strong network with local communities and stakeholders, including government officials, district councils and NGOs
  • Team player and self-starter with strong leadership skills, can-do attitude, strategic, collaborative and creative mindset 
  • Excellent team management, project management and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadline and pressure
