Job Overview
The role involves overseeing all aspects of accounts payable in Finance Operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
• Assume responsibility for accounts payable and ensure compliance with vendor credit/master management requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records, perform DPO (Days Payable Outstanding) analysis, and conduct reconciliations with appropriate remediation measures as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement through process re-engineering, effective controls, project initiatives, and governance of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Actively process accounts payable 3-way matching for project accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review purchase and services agreements from an accounts payable perspective, focusing on contractual terms and compliance.
- Provide supervision and guidance to a team of Accounts Payable professionals, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Manage the reconciliation process, monitor DPO (Days Payable Outstanding), and oversee vendor master/credit governance to ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
- Support internal and external audit reviews, actively contributing to remediation plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with various business units to drive procure-to-pay (P2P) initiatives, business initiatives, and process improvements, including the formulation and updates of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor the knowledge database for best practices and provide ongoing training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field.
- Preferred candidates with a CPA or equivalent qualification.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience.
- Advantageous to have working experience in construction and project accounting.
- Strong diplomatic and effective communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in using SAP (S/4) and advanced MS Office.
- Experience in procure-to-pay (P2P) implementation, including process standardization, data migration, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and change initiatives.
- Strong command of both spoken and written English and Chinese languages.
