Manager - Investment (Funds)

Job Overview

The incumbent will oversee the selection, evaluation, and management of Private Equity Funds and other alternative assets of US$300-400 million within our investment portfolio.  As a vital member of our investment team, he or she will mainly be responsible for making investment recommendations by conducting in-depth research and analysis of alternative fund managers and their portfolios across global market.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential fund investments, including analyzing historical performance, fund manager expertise, and investment philosophies.
• Monitor the performance of funds within the portfolio, and regularly assessing their alignment with investment objectives and making necessary adjustments as required.
• Build and maintain relationships with external fund managers, brokers, and other industry professionals to leverage insights and opportunities within the investment landscape.
• Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting the portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for proper transaction execution on these alternative investments, including subscription documentation and KYC.
• Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management conveying portfolio performance, investment strategies, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree in Finance, Economics or a  related discipline.
• CFA certification is preferred.

Experience and skills:

• 5 – 8 years of relevant experience in alternative investments with good understanding of different investment strategies
• Strong diplomatic and effective communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.
• Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
