Job Overview

  • Serves as the strategic interface with assigned business units or functional areas for business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. 
  • Proactively serves as an advisor / the primary ITS point of contact to business line executives and managers so as to enable the business to achieve its objectives through the effective use of technology. 
  • Operate as the key business contact representing ITS in promoting ITS services and capabilities. 
  • Provides support in delivering technology products that meet the needs of the business. 
  • Focuses on strategic initiatives and planning activities for their business area. They strive to understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues. 
  • Facilitate the investment intake process and the high-level planning and execution of business initiatives using technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ITS Asset Management team and align with ITIL Service Management practices, including incident, problem, change, availability, continuity, security, etc.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of solution roadmaps and ensuring successful introductions across the organization and with customers.
  • Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets for respective business areas.
  • Develop solution concepts and business cases for new investments, and perform business analysis and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed.
  • Create and analyze relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to senior management.
  • Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio, and oversee the launch of solutions and help to maximize the positive impact on the organization.
  • Identify, screen, and evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet (internal and external) customer needs, and partner with key staff members to create strategic business plans.
  • Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience
  • Works with senior management, business units and corporate staff executives to develop a technology strategy that is integrated with IT and across all business units. 
  • Experience with web, mobile App and third-party development tools will be preferred, and knowledge of SAP and Yardi is an advantage
  • Possess strong analytical skills, including an understanding of business economics and financial resources.
  • Customer centric, operational execution excellence, team and collaboration orientation, strong organizational skills and ability to plan strategically
  • Effective written/verbal communication skills, and experience of public speaking is a plus
