Job Overview
A Design Manager – shall be an assistant to the General Manager / Deputy Director – Special Projects. The role shall be responsible for all matters related to Interior Design of Projects under the Design Section
Responsibilities
- Work on interior design tasks at all stages including concept, tender documentation, site construction and completion.
- Support the design section on all interior design issues
- Monitor overall Interior Design management for timely and high-quality completion of tasks
- Coordinate closely with the Project Management and Construction Management Teams to ensure all interior designs are inspected and recorded properly
- Coordinate with the Contract Team for cost-effective interior designs
- Oversee project interior design issues and report critical incidents to the General Manager / Chief Designer, including project-related matters such as progress, constraint, quality, sustainability, etc.
- Explore new property technologies and implement where applicable
- Report critical incident to General Manager / Chief Designer as soon as possible
- Ensure Interior Design quality assurance by setting up and refining the QA System
- Travel as required by project
Requirements
- Degree or High Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Interior Design and Interior Design Management for residential and commercial projects in Hong Kong and China
- Good at 3d model and perspective rendering for interiors
- Good initiative and leadership skill
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
- Team player while also able to work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of English and Chinese
