Job Overview

A Design Manager – shall be an assistant to the General Manager / Deputy Director – Special Projects. The role shall be responsible for all matters related to Interior Design of Projects under the Design Section

Responsibilities

  • Work on interior design tasks at all stages including concept, tender documentation, site construction and completion.
  • Support the design section on all interior design issues
  • Monitor overall Interior Design management for timely and high-quality completion of tasks
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Management and Construction Management Teams to ensure all interior designs are inspected and recorded properly
  • Coordinate with the Contract Team for cost-effective interior designs
  • Oversee project interior design issues and report critical incidents to the General Manager / Chief Designer, including project-related matters such as progress, constraint, quality, sustainability, etc.
  • Explore new property technologies and implement where applicable
  • Report critical incident to General Manager / Chief Designer as soon as possible
  • Ensure Interior Design quality assurance by setting up and refining the QA System
  • Travel as required by project

Requirements

  • Degree or High Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Interior Design and Interior Design Management for residential and commercial projects in Hong Kong and China
  • Good at 3d model and perspective rendering for interiors
  • Good initiative and leadership skill
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Team player while also able to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese
