Job Overview

An APM shall be the Project Administrator in a project team and assists the RPM in managing the design process, contract procurement, construction and handover of projects.

An APM shall monitor that projects are progressing according to the master programme; expenses are within budget; and works are completed to the quality as expected by the company.

He or she shall coordinate all project team members and report to the PM / RPM in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the PM / RPM to deliver the project.
  • Assist the PM to prepare programme include benchmarking similar projects.
  • Execute the procurement schedule prepared by the PM and ensure that all project team members and consultants work in accordance with the schedule.
  • Closely coordinate with project users/contractors/consultants/ project team members during tender drawing preparation stage and to ensure that working drawings are up to company’s standard. 
  • Review design, drawings and specifications prepared by consultants in details and discuss possible improvements with the PM.
  • Feed necessary information to and coordinate with consultants in preparation of sales brochure. Check details on sales brochures and ensure the content complied with relevant regulations.
  • Coordinate and monitor working drawings preparation, contract procurement and construction of the sales office and show flats.
  • During the construction stage, regularly check the shop drawings, material submissions, mock-up samples, prototype units, before commencement of site work.
  • Resolve and coordinate site issues on specific tasks.
  • Closely monitor contractor’s progress and works, and report to PM if there is any delay in works or non-compliance to contract documents.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Management Team and contractors to achieve the quality standard of workmanship before handing over to customers.
  • Follow up post-handover works such as design improvement works, customers’ feedback, defect rectification progress.

Requirements

  • HKIA / HKIS / HKIE / IMechE or equivalent
  • Registered Architect / Registered Surveyor / Registered Engineer
  • At least 4 years post-qualification project management experience
  • Good communication skill
  • Fit for team works
  • Self-motivated
