Job Overview

The Assistant Manager will assist the Manager (and Senior Manager) with strategic planning and implementation of a wide range of CSR & Sustainability programmes / promotion activities to increase awareness of the Group’s CSR & Sustainability initiatives. Devise and carry out publicity plans, assist in other corporate events, community engagement and sponsorship programmes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including professional associations and institutions, government, etc to create greater impact on the Group’s overall CSR and sustainability efforts, brand name and image. Help to establish a record system to keep track of all corporate sponsorship activities and entitlements for enhancing corporate image, the team’s budget/expenses, and updates of relevant government officials’ database. 

 

We are looking for candidates with excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; internet and social media savvy; the ability of multi-tasking and working independently under pressure; with passion to serve the community, have the ability and analytical mindset in assessing sponsorship proposals and follow-up support, and strong interpersonal and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Partnership & Sponsorship Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of strategic partnerships, sponsorship initiatives and stakeholder engagement programmes that enhance the Group's reputation and corporate brand.
  • Evaluate partnership and sponsorship opportunities, including application screening, assessment, due diligence and recommendation processes.
  • Assist in managing sponsorship entitlements and activation opportunities to maximize brand visibility and stakeholder engagement.

Event Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate and implement corporate events, sponsorship activations, stakeholder engagement programmes and community initiatives.
  • Liaise with internal business units, external partners, vendors, industry associations, institutions and government bodies to ensure the successful delivery of programmes and events.

Departmental Operations & Financial Governance

  • Support the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day administration and operation of sponsorship programmes, partnership initiatives and corporate events.
  • Help establish and maintain a record management system to track corporate sponsorship activities, sponsorship entitlements, budgets and expenses, ensuring proper governance, reporting and resource management.
  • Coordinate budget tracking, purchase requisitions, payments and other administrative processes related to departmental activities.
  • Monitor programme performance and prepare reports, presentations and post-event evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Leadership & Ad-hoc Support

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members (e.g. Officer – Corporate communications).
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Communications / Journalism / Environmental & Sustainable Development or other related discipline

Experience and skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification work experience in CSR experience in either in-house functions or from programme management department within a sizeable NGO or company
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Sound experience in event management and promotion project handling
  • Internet and social media savvy
  • Ability of multi-tasking and working independently under tight timeline
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Proactive, creative, independent but good team player
